Its finally summer and what a summer it has been so far. I finished my last take home final 2 hours before I left for Vegas Baby! First a stop in Bullhead City, Az for a family reunion, it was a good time, got some good golf and Jeepin in with my uncle and didn't lose any money in Laughlin, I also went to see the good ol' Beach Boys.. well at least 2 of them and John Stamos was playing the drums, I have never seen so many screaming middle age women and people with walkers in the same place at the same time!
Next I met Brit and Joe in Vegas for good ol' night of fun in Vegas with a couple of priests... and it was an awesome time! They taught me how to play Craps and we all came out on top with me comming out the best, up $100! Nice.. got back to to the hotel after some Chevas (yum!) in the early morning, got up earlier than we would like the next morning to hit up some morning BINGO! that was fun but no one won, then it was off to this awsome authentic German eatery which I can't spell, and had some awesome Brats and great Beer. While sitting there remenissing about the night before we decided that we should stay an extra night.. why not?
Next stop cheap Craps off strip, then some more BINGO both with no luck, then a stop to Downtown, I had never been there before and haden't seen it since the new screen they put over the top of it, it was definetly a sight to be seen. Finally we decided to call it a night.... but first we had to find a cheap hotel at 1am finally we found one off strip and hit the sack early... got up and hit the pool, then made a hole 2 bucks at the Craps table and hit the road. Hung out with the grandparents for a couple days which was great, becasue I havent seen them in way to long. Then the night before I left I got to see the Fertalla's (I know that's spelled wrong) which is just an awesome family, and got to talk to them about there Jeep and exchange 4x4 stories. The next morning a quick trip to Bari Bari, then we saw the new Star Trek, which was really good, then Hopped on a plane and headed home.
Once home Riss and I hit the beach Friday, and I was to work on Sat. Then that night it hit me, I was hacking up a storm, i just figured it the the swelling of the bee sting on my neck I got that morning on my ride, the next morning I just felt really really bad so I just chilled hoping to feel better for class on monday, which I didn't, and it was even worse on tuseday with me going in and out of a 103 degree tempreture i hit the doc up and she did some tests and guess what... I was one of the 450 cases of confermed SWINE FLU! no shit! So they told me not to go anywhere and just take these antibiotics, which worked amazingly! luckily by Sunday I was feeling much better enough to actually go out and see the Cappriotti's (I should know how to spell that by now) we went up to Whidbey Island for the day which was great.
Now I am back to school and work and riding again, almost back to normal can still feel it in my lungs just a little, well that should get you back up to speed on me I'll keep you posted
Late!

Going Places
So all day today, in between doing some mid-term and studing some Hydrology, I have been figuring out how I can get out of town, I need an adventure. Just pack up my bike, some good tunes and an open road.... This school thing is getting to me, good thing I only have one week to get through before a week off. Too bad in that week I have 3 mid-terms... yeah I need to figure out some way to get some type of trip into the week. I can't wait to get to travel again, there is nothing better than leaving home and heading out on an adventure, and right now I am dieing go get out there and do something. I guess after years of traveling with the bike and have been on a hiatus for the past while I am egar to get back out there and see something new not just Harned Hall at Saint Martin's University.

Something Like This Would be Awsome!
I have yet to do this with the Jeep... I think its time.

A New Ride
So I happend into a new bike this week. Its a Kona Dawg Supreme. Its freaking sweet, I've wanted one for a long time but never actually pulled the trigger and I promised Matt that I would but this one from him and it came time for him to buy a new bike and so here I am with a new bike. Now I just have to go out and ride it. Luckly its almost spring break and I'll be riding a bunch then. As of now I am working on one hell of a mid-term in my reinforced concrete design class. That guy Sladek is really puttin the skrews to us right now, it been brutal at school the past week putting in almost 12-13 hours a day harsh! Oh well it'll be over soon enough I guess. Pulled an -A in my Religious Studies class for the mid term hopefully I can get that up to a stright A by semester. Other classes looks like B's across the board so far, but I got 3 midterms next week so that will show a lot.Oh yeah and these came in this week too. They are pretty freaking sweet! and way better than the adidas that we used to wear, these actually form to your foot. Mavic has done a grade A job on these bad boys, I wonder how long they'll stay white?

Road Trip

So I've been up to kind of a lot since the last post. First I went on a road trip with my Mom, Sister and her boyfriend Andrew. I was a worl wind of a trip... We started here in Oly right after the huge snowstorm here and right before a even bigger one rolling in, on our way we hit just the leading edge of it going through Portland but once out of there we had no bad weather all the way down to Southern California. We rolled into my big sis Brittany's house around 12:30 am.... yeah a long trip. Slept a little there then we were up early the next morning to hit the rides of the "Happiest Place on Earth" Disneyland!
It was cool, that place is seriously amazing, it's not the rides and how extreme they are, its all the intricate details that is put into every inch of the park. I love to go there to see just what those guy's come up. Not to mention its a engineers paradise, all the roller coasters have to be designed by civil's and not to mention all of the mechanical pieces which go into every part of the park. So we spent all night there and didn't leave until 12:00am.

They Change the Haunted Mansion changes for X-Mas to The Nightmare Before X-mas theme. It was Awesome!Next! A day of snowboarding at Snow Summit. It was good, pretty crappy weather and not great snow but it was still cool, I got to ride with Andrew who is a pretty killer boarder and it was fun to ride with someone that can push you to get better.
From there we went back to my birth place in Apple Valley, CA. Oh yeah!! Unfortunetly it was dark and we couldn't see much but there was really not much to see out there. But it was good to see family again, a lot of those people I have not seen in years it was good to see all of them, many of my cousins having their own kids and families.... weird. But they are all doing well and are all doing well which is good to see. Ok ready back in the car and off to Sin City... Las Vegas!
We Stayed in The Palms Hotel which was really really cool, it was the first time I had every really been to vegas and... well I wasn't so luck I never really won any money.. oh well I got the experiance. We also got to have breakfast with my grandparents which was really cool I haven't seen them in a while and it was good to see they were doing well.
The trip home was really interesting. From Vegas we made it to Redding before the snow hit and we turned back and we went back to town and spent X-Mas night in a hotel room. After some sleep we started early in the morning and under blue skies we made it all the way home.
It was a one heck of a trip super quick but action packed and really fun to spend some time with the Fam. Well that was long enough for now I will fill you in on the rest of the break another time and get some pictures going on here soon.
