They Finally did it!!!

That's right Derik and Michelle finally tied the knot, and got hitched. It was a nice small little ceremony at the court house, I did bring the Flip and got video of the ceremony, it was nice. Derik wore his sweet green shirt and Michelle was beautifully casual as usual. After the ceremony we all went to Ramblin Jacks and had some good eats and good laughs with good friends.

Cyclocross National Championships!

They were last weekend, I wasn't there. That's depressing, the most exciting thing in my life is a race that I am not even participating in... At least my bikes were, I hooked up Kyle with my rigs and he was able to charge them out there, to a great result considering he a never raced cross before. This whole, my bikes are racing but I am not thing, needs to change, I was looking at the MTB race schedule this moring trying to plan out what I want to do, or what I can get in shape for... Everyone who comes into the shop and asks me what my plans are I tell them "I plan on doing everything so that I will at least hit one..."

Back to those who are racing, a big shout out to Steve Fisher and his D2 National Title! Thats a great ride! Also to JPows bad luck hits again and there was nothing he could do.

Tryed to hit the trails this morning, but the Jeep wouldn't start. At least it wasn't her flat this time, a bum battery was the cause so I took to back and got a fresh one, its so nice to have a vehicle that just starts! Maybe I'll get up there tomorrow. Thats all for now. Late!

Snow Sick

Got up to the slopes on Tuesday, go figure that same day I was to get crazy sick. The day started off like any other ski day, up early and still mostly asleep when I jump in the Jeep, and on the way the day just started getting worse. I started feeling sick, then I realized I forgot my phone, and then it wouldn't stop raining, the closer I got to the slopes it still wouldn't stop raining, until I got right up to the parking lot and it started snowing... and the wind started blowing. At this point I really started feeling cruddy, but I made it all the way up there and passes were cheap so I put on an extra layer and hit it. It was really windy on the way up and the snow was not real great but it was something. They closed the upper mountain so the highest that was open was Forest Queen, a side of the mountain I rarely see, so I didn't really know where to ride. I found some pretty sweet runs with some fresh lines but by about 11:00 it was getting so warm that the snow was getting slushy and what was once snow was frozen rain and what was then frozen rain was slush. By that time I started feeling really tired and sick so I took a break in the lodge and it went down hill from there. I called it quits and headed home which was a really good thing because I barley made it home before I crashed for the rest of the day, and for the next 2 days for that matter. It hit hard and fast, but its the first time I've been sick, since swine flu awhile back.

Today Riss and I just hung out, it was awesome! Hit downtown and checked out the Motorcycle Toy Run, that was a sight, and hung out at Sizizi's and had the best Chi Tea I've ever had. Although Riss felt like she was being watched:

Little Wing Money Loser

So for those who do not know my older sister Brittany you should know that she has this thing about BINGO. Yes BINGO, she loves this game, I don't think she has ever won but I am sure it will come one day. So while she is here we had to take one night and hit the spectacle which is BINGO. Tonight was that night, Riss, Dad, Cindy, Brit and I headed out to Little Wing and promptly lost our BINGO dough. We got close a couple of times but nothing to jump up and down about, but still $10 for 4 hours of fun and people watching...can't really beat that. After the BINGO was over we headed out to the floor for some real casino games. I came out even in Craps, and started really well at Blackjack but after about and hour I was out and wasn't heading to the ATM for more $$.

OK thats all thats going on right now... I just trying to keep up the blogging then someone might start reading it again.

Black Friday!

The day where us little bike shops feel really inept... While you see some stores having lines waiting outside their doors to open to get that huge plasma screen TV for 60% off or Flip Flops buy one get one free, we barley have any traffic for our sweet sale! Just kidding the day that people line up out side our doors at 3 am to get the the Sweet new Norco Range 1 at 20% off is the day that I have no cleaver analogy for. Anyway to stop griping about Black Friday, but before I do one shout out to Casebolt! Thank for coming in and helping out, we really appreciate it!

Derik and Michelle are decorating the shop tonight so everyone should swing by and check it out. For all those who have seen the movie Elf I am expecting something like that once the night is through.

Just got done watching "Follow Me" the MTB movie that the old Collective guys put out. It was pretty awesome. The cinematography is getting way better in the new vids then the old ones. While "Follow Me" was good, the new "Life Cycles" is freaking amazing! Not your normal bike porn movie of just a bunch of crazy dudes riding sick lines and pulling sweet airs, but more of a story and a artsy feel to it. Not as hyper as Follow Me. It was freaking amazing! If you have a minute hit the links and check em out! Its worth your time!

Have the day off tomorrow I wonder what crazy thing Brit is going to come up with to do?...

She had this great idea to go sledding in the dark on Tuesday check this out!

A New Life

For both this blog and me.

A lot has happened since my last post... ok so that might be an under statement. Since my last post I have become part owner of a bike shop, finished my degree, and got married for starters. I don't race much anymore, not by choice just with everything else going on in life bike racing had to take a back seat to real life for a while. So check out the photos that try and represent the past year of my life.
